Week 13 Website Process
Over the last two weeks, I was able to put myself in a good spot as we head into the final week of the semester. I reorganized my spotlight sections and only have about three pieces left to publish. Although I only wrote a few pieces, this was substantial progress as I finally have a completed outline for my website layout after doing a lot of editing.
I'm definitely not as motivated as I was at the beginning of the semester, I've found it harder to produce work as there are several final assignments on top of our project all due right around this time. I'm still in a good place and will finish with more than enough words, but it can get stressful trying to juggle exams and other work with so many deadlines approaching. Hopefully, I'll have more time this week as I finish my classes so I can direct my focus solely on completing my website.

Hi Brandon, I have been feeling the same. With everything online, it has been getting hard to feel as motivated as I was t the beginning of the semester because it feels like there is a loss of incentive. It is good that you are trying to get your project under wraps before the semester ends tough. We have ONE week left, just need one more week to finish strong!
ReplyDeleteHi Brandon,
ReplyDeleteI can relate because I started to pick up the pace last week and this week I only have about 500 words left. I see that you have a plan in place to finish this project and that is good. I like the layout of your website and think that it is very easy to navigate through. The finish line is near and let's finish the project strongly. Good luck with the rest of the project.
Hello Brandon, and I am super interested in your Archiving the Arts Website. The topic you have chosen is very unique, and I really like the way it came together. You did a really good job introducing your topic and organizing the website, and I was able to appreciate what you have written even though I have never watched the shows. I wish you the best in finishing the website, but I have no fear that it will turn out poorly.
ReplyDeleteHey Brandon,
ReplyDeleteLove that you did your presentation on the resurge in AtAP through Netflix showcasing the show helping to boost it already high popularity and the less popular show TLOK which I am less familiar with. The theme and messages of both were some of the best to show to little kids showcasing from 2005 to 2008 remembering this when I was between 4 and 7 helping establishing great lessons. Where I am facing the same drain from all the work right now with just Saturday and Sunday to work on everything, but it is just trucking along as best you can with knowledge that you have already created a great product thus far.
Best,
Treb (They/Them)
Hi Brandon! Nice job with your website! It kind of reminds me to my website in terms of organization. You did a pretty good job on that. I really like the images you are using, they are very colorful and catch readers attention. The size of the pictures is great. I think giving importance to the picture is very important! As a told other classmates, I consider the text size too small. You may consider to make it a little bit bigger so that it is easier to read. Best!
ReplyDeleteHey Brandon, I LOVE your website. I think you did a great job with the overall organization, and my favorite part the pictures. The colors throughout the banner pictures made the website really come together. The content on the other hand is really cool to read too. I like how you added the "Resurging Popularity" section for the Avatar ATAP because it is very true. I've wanted to rewatch avatar for the longest time because of your website in earlier weeks, but I never had the time because of 8 hour work shifts 6 days a week, and then these final projects. BUT NOW I CAN! I wish you luck on your final exams if you have any, and have a great winter break.
ReplyDeleteHey how's it going, the projects do pile up as the semester comes to an end. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. The website itself looks good and is well organized. I've never actually seen avatar but ALL of my friends tell me it is really good so I'll check it out someday. I hope finals go well for you. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteHello Brandon. I am a fan of the website. The idea of taking an anime and talking about it in a website is incredible. It's cool to see that you wrote about Avatar: The Last Airbender since it had a resurgence earlier in the year. Talking about the themes each show had throughout the different seasons was a good touch to the content. One last thing I'll touch on is the organization of the sources page (I know it's weird for someone to mention this). I like how it's organized by section of information and the the images have their own section.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up Brandon I think choosing to work on Avatar The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra was an excellent choice. I like how you give an explanation of each character, who they are, and their backstory. I think you only focusing on the backstory for each character was smart because it doesn't give too much information, but it gives the right stuff the readers need to know. I think that it was great that you added the "Exploring Themes and Messages" section because both shows were filled with so many messages. My favorite message was when Aang told Toph that friendships do last more than one lifetime and then in The Legend Of Korra she meets Tophs (Korra Alone) and calls her "Twinkle Toes." We all know that's what Toph called Aang. I love how you were able to connect the episode Korra Alone to mental illness, this is why I can't believe The Legend Of Korra got hated on by people. The show touches on important things that a lot of other shows don't even mention. Overall fantastic website Brandon.
